Brushwork Parade

You might remember CCWC’s ongoing campaign Grave of the Sun. It uses the recent Nightwatch Blood and Bone rules in a fantasy Arabian setting, the kingdom of Harab.

The campaign is far from over so there are still a number of miniatures in the queue on the painting desk waiting for their turn in a scenario, but I present these for your consideration now.

Fast-n-dirty brushwork on a combination of Reaper miniatures, old Hell Dorado Saracens, and a lone Metal King Studio fighter with scimitar. Oh, and a stone golem I picked up on eBay that’s from some board game I can’t recall at the moment.

As it stands, there are two dozen more minis that need pjs, plus a pair of larger buildings, some dunes, more palm trees stands, and scatter to round out the collection. I have to say it’s been a refreshing change to paint something other that the traditional Euro-Tolkien fantasy figs and terrain.

That’s all for now. Next up are miniature options for “When Nightmares Come.”

Until then, have an excellent day.

  1. That map looks amazing, I love the setting of your campaign. And you inspire me to stop procrastinating about painting…. you inspire me, but damn am I still procrastinating ^^

    1. Happy to help. I have to say the Arabian fantasy setting, minis, and terrain is a really nice change from the standard. We’re all really enjoying it.
