__________

Two Direct Action Units pay a night time visit to Neuromeka Facility 219. One to acquire information, the other to shut it down. The Bahala Na team wants a bit of proprietary code; the Kakushu crew is carrying a nasty virus that’ll kludge the assembly line.

Note that these are variations on the standard Mission Objectives in the rule book, but require the same kind of actions at identical Tactical Assets.

Bahala Na needs to access the local Net Terminal. Kakushu techs designed their malware to infiltrate through the plant’s security system, so the team needs to ‘jack a Turret.

Stealth Deployment and Movement

It’s all fun and games ’til someone starts shooting

Bahala Na’s Ronin likes his perch, so bullets are flying. The Razor charges up the center as a distraction so his Specialist can sprint toward the Terminal on their far left. K’s Ronin and Razor take issue with that.

Meanwhile, the K Specialist gets to work on the nearby Turret.

Terrain with Benefits

Hacking local tactical assets not only gives a team victory point, but some immediate advantages. The Turret shatters out a burst of fire while the Net Node blurts out a disruptive signal. Both these interruptions give the teams pause, but they recover and start toward the last TA: the central Surveillance Mast.

BN’s Ronin drops counterpart (he really likes that spot) and the two big lads square off for a Razor brawl. Meanwhile, both Specialists do their best to creep toward the Mast without getting shot.

BN’s Razor goes down to K’s superior Combat Reflexes. In return, K’s Specialist gets thoroughly ventilated – despite hiding behind cover. Sensing an opening, the BN specialist makes a run for the Mast.

The final rounds turn into a dog fight at the last Tactical Asset. Despite the BN Ronin’s supporting fire, the BN Specialist gets his head crushed – but not before he hacks the Mast.

‘Howd’ya like me now?’

Data extracted. Local assets co-opted. BN for the WIN.

MVP

Don’t let the lack of oversize Hydraulic Fists fool you. Despite the loss, this big fella brought the pain to the BN Club.

Great battle report. Once my players finish our WNC games I plan to try some of the Exploit Zero with them.

    1. Thanks very much. ARe you going to run cooperative or competitive?

EZMC is PvP, as is EZ Hostile Takeover.
The first two books – EZ CEaM and TSTE – are the solo/cooperative rules.

Also, we had a great time mixing Mork Borg’s ‘Cy_Borg’ RPG with EZ’s combat. There’s a Bat Rep around here somewhere. ‘Kill Dolls at Bodega Flats’ IIRC.

LMK if you have any questions.
