One of the genuinely cool things to see as a game designer/rules writer, is Battle Reports from other players in other states and countries.
To hear a game sparked peoples’ imagination and helped them have fun around the game table is immensely satisfying. And the point of the whole exercise, IMO.
This past Spring, I ran an AAR Contest among the members of the S7 Facebook group and received some excellent entries. I’m very late on finalizing this and apologize, but without further delay here are some photos from the entries, as well as the list of winners.
Props to all the entrants. Tough decisions all around. It was genuinely great to see your games.

I’m back at my next novel, Five Torches, but also have several narrative mini-campaigns outlined. (Used to call them ‘modules’ back in the day) One for When Nightmares Come. Another for Exploit Zero. And a third for Nightwatch Blood and Bone.
Each will feature three, combat-centric scenarios (makes sense for tabletop miniature wargames, right? ) but will be formatted more like an RPG session with notes for a Game Master and objectives that link the missions together for more narrative flavor.

Thanks for stopping by. That’s all for now. Have a good one.
